portability of medical insurance

A portability plan is an individual health insurance policy that you can purchase without providing proof of insurability.

If you lose eligibility and coverage under the HUBB group health plan, you may have the right to enroll in one of the insurance carrier's individual portability plans.

The benefit coverage on the portability plans is different than the benefit coverage on the HUBB plan.

If you are eligible, you must apply directly to the health care insurance company not later than the 63rd day after termination of your HUBB group coverage.

For information about the portability plan insurance option, please contact your insurance carrier customer service.
